After spending approximately 15 months blogging almost exclusively for another site, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I am welcoming myself home to the blog on my website. While I will still write for Patheos occasionally, I am happy to be back on my own blog as we enter 2019. (By the way, how did we get to 2019? I mean, has it really been 20 years since I graduated high school?!?) Anyway, the coming year holds great promise. Most excitedly, I am thrilled that Moody is publishing my second book: Relational Reset: Unlearning the Habits that Hold You Back. Did I mention it will be released as an audio book as well? You can pre-order both now (more text below image).

The journey to this book was long and the Lord has used challenges in my own life and the lives of those around me to strengthen the content. Years ago, I wanted to write a book on friendships – it has evolved into a book on all kinds of relationships. Yes, friendships, but also sibling relationships, parent/child relationships, husband/wife relationships, work relationships, neighborhood relationships…all kinds of relationships! And who doesn’t struggle in one (or more) relationships at some point in their lives? If we’re honest, we all do. We get into patterns –¬†habits¬†– that lead us down paths of pain and strife. God created us for relationship, and when those aren’t functioning as they should, we suffer. But we don’t have to. Or, at least, we can learn to change some of the habits that keep us stuck and learn to improve our relationships. Is insecurity interfering with your relationships? What about envy or the past? In Relational Reset you’ll learn how to wrestle these alligators and much more. Will this be the year you finally address your relationship woes? Most importantly, I pray this will be the year you find your identity in Jesus and focus on improving that relationship most of all. My prayer is the same for myself. Happy New Year. Here’s to 2019!
